Important information to know before and after your hair transplant procedure

Pimples

Pimples or cysts (the latter occasionally caused by ingrown hairs) may occur on the recipient area. This is normal and should not cause any discomfort. To the touch, a pimple may be a bit sore (as with a pimple anywhere else on your body). If pimples do appear, they typically do so a month after surgery. Many patients have reported pimples appearing for months after surgery. It is thought that pimples occur due to fragments of skin or hair that may have been caught beneath the skin's surface.

IMPORTANT HAIR TRANSPLANT TIP

To assist with reducing the size of the pimples, ask your surgeon to recommend an anti-bacterial ointment.
