A world class competitive status in painting, carving and sculpting were largely responsible for Dr. Bednar's acceptance into the world-renowned Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, after graduating from medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit in 1982.
